Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading 2015 Surveys

Slogan Text

Summer Reading is just winding up…before you know it, it will be time to wrap up!

These surveys are so important, I cannot explain this enough. Why are they so important?
  1. They demonstrate the value of the summer reading, helping to keep our leaders informed of all you do to help stop the summer slide!
  2. We are required to report these numbers to the IMLS (aka “feds”), which fund summer reading through the LSTA grant. In order to ensure these federal funds are renewed at the congressional level, the onus is on us to make sure we validate the need for these funds.

So visit these surveys to see what info you’ll need to ready for the end of the summer reading — and bookmark these surveys!

Survey for parents
This one is *critical* as it demonstrates outcomes. You can print this and have parents fill out the paper format and mail them to Development at the end of the summer, or even better, have parents fill it out online!

Survey for library staff
Completing this survey is ****extremely critical****! It will sign you up for summer reading 2016 and qualify you for a voucher. You MUST complete this survey in order to get next year’s voucher.
