MIAC & TLP Collaborate for Summer Reading

The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture and the Tribal Libraries Program teamed up to bring a Native American perspective to the summer reading theme of “Every Hero Has a Story”.  Eleven of the Tribal Libraries with 182 participants attended sessions with their students conducted by Jason Garcia, comic book inspired artist from Santa Clara Pueblo and Woody Aguilar, Archaeologist Historian PhD candidate from San Ildefonso Pueblo. This wonderful, successful program is an excellent demonstration of the success in museum and library collaboration.

Jason created three special book marks to commemorate the partnership.
