Don’t just take our word for it!

Kerry Shepherd from the Red River Public Library took advantage of one of NMSL’s free activation keys – and then purchased a subscription for her own library to utilize.

I was very satisfied with Lynda.com. I’ve had a Total Training subscription for years, but when the State Library offered the chance to use lynda.com, I decided to give it a try to compare the two. I was very pleased with what was available. In the past I have used it mainly for Adobe tutorials since I do a lot of work with both historical photos and websites. I was surprised at lynda.com’s offerings in those areas – much more extensive and up-to-date. There is also a wide variety of tutorials in WordPress which I’m hoping to use to revamp our library website, time permitting. With all the new Windows 7 computers we’re adding, I also hope to become more skilled in using that OS after years of XP. Pretty much anything you’d want to learn is available. I’m most appreciative to the State Library for providing that opportunity and I would highly recommend that anyone wanting to better their computer skills take advantage.    -Kerry Shepherd
