This position resides at the New Mexico State Library and is located in Santa Fe, New Mexico in the Technical Services Bureau. The State Documents Technician (Library Technician-O) is responsible for processing the print and electronic state documents received by the State Library, in support of the State Document Depository program (statutory requirement NMSA 1978, Section 18-2-4(J)) and in support of the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Library and the Commission of Public Records/State Section Records and Archives. The technician receives, processes, tracks and distributes documents, deposited with the State Library or scanned by the State Library. The technician prepares ship lists and statistics. The technician uploads, distributes and copies digital files.

This position is a Pay Band 45.

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Lifting of up to 20lbs. may be required.
