Purpose of Position:
This position is located in Santa Fe at the New Mexico State Library. This position will provide reader advisory support to over 2,500 blind, physically disabled and reading impaired citizens throughout the state along with institutions serving such citizens. The reader advisor processes audio book requests, recommends choices, and provides support with questions concerning playback devices, download of audio books, and other areas relevant to program services. Most contact with patrons occurs via telephone.

THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION.

This position is a Pay Band 45.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of relevant experience.
Employment Requirements:
Pre-employment background investigation may be required and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Must climb ladders of heights up to 10 feet and possess the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
