Employment Opportunity: Programming/Outreach Librarian Silver City

The Town of Silver City seeks an individual for the position of Programming/Outreach Librarian. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating a multitude of programming for intergenerational and adult audiences. The programming and outreach librarian participates in the library’s programming team with the public services manager/assistant director and the children’s/young adult librarian to implement programs to meet the objectives identified in the library planning documents, and community needs, expressed or perceived. The position also involved outreach to the community, and providing general reference assistance and reader’s advisory.

Prospective candidates must have public library or research experience and customer service experience. Candidates should be able to work in a collaborative and creative team environment. Knowledge of library procedures and systems, technology, and trends in library programming and services are necessary.
