Employment Opportunity: Librarian Technical Services Corrales Community Library

ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN

The Corrales Community Library is accepting applications for an Assistant Librarian.

Desired Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must have a High School diploma or GED and two years of post-secondary education with one year of experience working in a library setting. Working knowledge of current web technologies and library automation systems. Knowledge of operating systems and applications. Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot PC and network-related hardware, Ability to work in a team environment and availability to work evenings and weekends.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Some knowledge of principles and practices of modern library systems and programs; some knowledge of library circulation or processing techniques: working knowledge of library classification systems; working knowledge of basic office procedures; Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment. Ability to accurately maintain library filing systems, ability to orally communicate effectively; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patrons, volunteers, supervisors and the general public.

Knowledge of Windows 10, Power Point, Excel, Publisher, and Microsoft Office. Ability to work a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends on an as needed basis.

Special Requirements: Must have a valid state driver’s license or ability to obtain one. Must be bondable.

Applications may be picked up at Village Hall located at 4324 Corrales Road, Corrales, New Mexico, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
